AI boyfriend apps in the Netherlands: fictional partners and account terms

Nomi's free plan has no end date and allows 50 messages per day, checked 2026-10-28. Free messages are capped at 400 characters each and paid messages at 800. That cap sets how long a message can be; it says nothing about how well the companion remembers. For a written boyfriend-style routine, this is the most generous recurring count among the memory-focused apps here. Without a subscription, voice features become read-only, so calls belong to the paid plan.

Memory is the main reason Nomi leads. Nomi documents persistent conversational memory, Mind Maps, backstories and shared notes. It publishes no context size, and we did not measure recall. You can describe your fictional adult partner in the backstory, but keep your real address, employer and relationships out of it.

Web prices are published in USD only. An official Nomi article lists Standard at US$15.99 per month, US$39.99 per three-month term and US$99.99 per year. Standard includes up to 10 companions, 10 group chats, voice calls and video. Extras are paid in Nomi Credits: 100 for an additional companion slot, 10 for a high-definition video request. Credits require an active subscription and do not expire. The Dutch App Store page did not load when we checked, which says nothing about access to the web service. The official pages do not show a euro total with BTW or an iDEAL option. The web terms describe card billing.

Nomi states that its chats are not end-to-end encrypted. To delete your account, go to Profile, Account Settings, Delete account, confirm by email and type DELETE. Personal information is removed within about 28 days, with exceptions. Cancel through the platform you paid on, because uninstalling does not stop renewal. Image rules exclude nude companion photos. Our Nomi review has more detail.

Secrets AI gives free accounts 20 sent messages per day, checked 2026-10-29. The count resets 24 hours after your first message. Chats with a custom character also draw on a separate ceiling of 100 messages in total. Both limits apply at once, so you cannot use 100 custom-character messages in one day. Your first custom character is included, and each additional one costs 500 Moments.

Paid plans are priced in USD. Premium costs US$19.99 per month, or US$109.99 per year paid upfront (about US$9.17 a month). Ultimate costs US$39.99 per month or US$319.99 per year. Both include unlimited messaging plus 8,000 or 15,000 Moments each month. The monthly grant resets. Top-ups you buy do not expire, but you need a paid membership to use them. For budgeting, 8,000 Moments covers 160 one-minute audio calls at 50 Moments each, 160 standard images, or 13 basic eight-second videos at 600 each. A seasonal sale can discount the first term only.

The listed payment methods are cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) and crypto with a US$20 minimum. We did not verify a Dutch checkout, an iDEAL option or a BTW-inclusive total. Do not add 21% to an amount that may already include tax.

Memories are saved automatically for each companion. The official tier guide contradicts itself on free calls, so treat calls as a paid feature. Content rules allow fictional adults only. Age is self-declared, and extra checks may be required. The operator is Secret Labs Inc. in the United States, and card statements read S LABS INC. You cancel under Settings, Manage Subscription. Chats and characters remain after you cancel, because cancelling only stops billing and does not delete anything. Account deletion is in account settings. The refund policy grants a 14-day EU withdrawal period, while crypto payments are generally non-refundable. Trustpilot showed 4.5 from 287 reviews on 2026-10-28.

Replika is the only product here with several euro amounts on the Dutch App Store, checked 2026-10-28. These are store items, not a confirmed map of plans. Monthly items cost €8.99 and €15.49. Annual items cost €50.99, €55.99 and €64.99. Annual ULTRA costs €74.99, and a Platinum item costs €78.99 with no stated duration. We did not complete a checkout, so the BTW split is not confirmed.

Chatting and avatar customization stay free, and no numeric daily cap is published. Paid plans have no free trial. Pro adds relationship status, activities, image generation, voice messages and calls. Ultra adds saving messages to memory and improved conversations. For a boyfriend premise, note that relationship status comes with Pro, not the free account.

You can see what Replika remembers. Open Home, then your Replika's name, then Memory, to read or remove individual saved facts. To remove the whole conversation history, you have to delete the account. In the app, the route is Settings, Account Settings, Delete Replika, then a reason and your password. The privacy policy keeps profile data, messages and content for up to 60 days after the contract ends. Some financial and device records are kept for at least 10 years.

Italy's data protection authority fined Luka, the operator, €5 million on 2025-04-10. The fine concerned past failures on legal basis, transparency and age verification, and an appeal was noted. It is not a Dutch ban. Users must be 18+, but we could not establish a current verification procedure. Dutch is not among the app's listed iOS languages. PayPal subscriptions are cancelled under PayPal's automatic payments, and deleting the app does not stop billing. Sales are final once access starts; Apple and Google purchases are refunded through those stores.

Character.AI's official FAQ promises unlimited free messages, with a possible waiting room at busy times, checked 2026-10-28. Free accounts get 15 memory pins. Lite raises that to 30, and c.ai+ adds private Lorebooks. Official prices are US$9.99 per month or US$94.99 per year for c.ai+, and Lite starts at US$4.99 per month. The Dutch App Store lists c.ai+ items at €9.99 and €99.99 and Lite items at €2.99 and €5.99. None of them shows a billing period, so do not assume which one is monthly.

Character.AI works for a romantic text routine without explicit content. Pornographic content is prohibited, and no paid plan removes the filter. A Dutch interface is listed, though we did not assess output quality in Dutch. Age assurance runs through Persona: age estimation first, a selfie when needed and an ID document as a fallback. Character.AI says it does not receive identity images, and Persona deletes biometric data within 7 days. Paying does not let you skip these checks.

The main risk is whether the service continues. On 2026-10-12, the company announced a voluntary Chapter 11 sale process. It says the platform keeps operating but may wind down if no viable bid arrives. Subscriptions keep billing during the proceeding. Italy's data protection authority fined the company €158,000 on 2026-07-03 and issued a 120-day corrective order; an appeal is possible.

On web, delete your account under Profile, Profile Settings, Account, Manage Account and Data, Delete Account. To cancel, go to Profile, Cancel My Subscription. Store subscriptions are cancelled in Apple or Google settings. Trustpilot showed 1.2 from 740 reviews on 2026-10-28, while the Dutch App Store showed 4.1 from about 11K ratings.

Candy.ai has the smallest free allowance in this comparison, checked 2026-10-28. You get 5 chat messages in total across all characters, 1 created character and 1 generated image. No daily renewal is stated, so treat it as a one-time preview. Premium shows $9.99 for the first month and renews at $13.99. The quarterly plan costs $26.97 upfront ($8.99 a month), and the yearly plan $47.88 ($3.99 a month). Prices appear with a dollar symbol, and we verified neither the currency nor a Dutch BTW-inclusive total.

Premium includes 100 tokens per month. Premium Plus includes 330 tokens, 20 memory slots and 5 chat clones. Token costs per action are not published, so 100 tokens does not mean 100 images. Cards, crypto, Apple Pay and Google Pay are listed, but iDEAL is not.

The operator is EverAI Limited in Malta, and statements read EverAI. Section 10.4.3 of the terms gives EU users 14 days to withdraw from an initial purchase, counted from the confirmation email. Renewals are not covered. The value of services already used is deducted, and the refund is paid within 14 days of your notice, which you can send to [email protected].

The privacy policy allows chats to be used for AI training, with possible human review of de-identified interactions. Account data is generally kept up to 3 years after last activity, and financial records for 10 years. To delete, go to My Profile, Settings, Danger Zone, Delete Account. Cancelling has its own route: My Profile, Settings, Unsubscribe. Adult text and images are allowed within the blocked-content policy, and age is self-declared. On 2026-10-28, the Trustpilot profile showed a removal notice instead of a score.

SpicyChat publishes euro prices, using the same numbers as its USD prices since 2026-09-08, checked 2026-10-28. Get A Taste costs €5.95 per month or €60 per year. True Supporter costs €19.95 or €199.95, and I'm All In €29.95 or €299.95. SpicyChat does not say whether BTW is included. The free plan covers core chat, the character library and 3 user personas, with adult content available. The official pages do not show a numeric daily cap.

Continuity depends on the tier. The latest comparison lists context windows of 4,000, 8,000 and 32,000 tokens for the three paid plans, though older documentation still gives 16K for the top tier. These are published capacities, not measured recall. Text-to-speech comes with the top tier, and live calls are not confirmed. A settings toggle controls explicit language and images.

Age verification uses a video selfie, with an ID document as a possible fallback. The published list of regions where verification is mandatory includes the UK, France, Italy, Australia and selected US states. The Netherlands is not named, but that does not mean it is exempt. Cards and crypto are accepted; crypto is a one-time payment that does not renew. iDEAL and SEPA were not confirmed. Statements read NDAI.CC.

The native iOS app has been removed, so iPhone users add the web app to the home screen. Android has an official APK. To delete, go to Profile, Advanced, Delete Account. The privacy policy page did not display its text on 2026-10-28, so the official pages do not confirm encryption, training use or retention. If you change an older subscription or let it lapse, including by downgrading, you permanently lose its previous price. Trustpilot showed 2.0 from 62 reviews on 2026-10-28.

On the Dutch App Store, the iOS app Talkie Lab lists a 1 Month item at €9.99 and a monthly Talkie+ Pro item at €29.99, checked 2026-10-28. These are store prices; we did not complete a checkout or confirm the VAT breakdown. We also did not verify what each item includes or whether it carries over to web or Android. The app is free to install, with ads and in-app purchases. No numeric daily chat or image limit is published. Gems are sold as in-app purchases, but the store does not show how many Gems each item contains.

Talkie suits light, casual fictional romance, not adult roleplay. Pornographic and violent content is prohibited. On long-term continuity, the FAQ says earlier conversation can be forgotten because of technical memory limits, and no context size is guaranteed. The iOS listing advertises image, video and audio creation, but you cannot assume the same features on Android and web.

The age rules do not match. The terms set a minimum age of 16 in the Netherlands, while Apple rates the app 18+. Dutch is not among the listed interface languages. The operator is SUBSUP PTE. LTD. in Singapore. Data is kept as long as needed for its purposes and legal duties, with no fixed period. The privacy contact is [email protected].
