Nomi AI pricing for Dutch users: dollars, terms and credits

Nomi's own comparison article lists three Standard billing terms, all in US dollars. They are the only first-party prices we found that are not tied to a particular foreign app store, and they do not say whether tax is included. A Dutch buyer should treat them as reference amounts. What you are finally charged in euros depends on the checkout and on how your bank converts a USD payment. We did not verify a Dutch App Store price, so we don't quote one. Canadian App Store amounts are no basis for a euro price, so we leave them out.

Some third-party pricing pages claim Nomi has never published a price list. That is out of date: the March 2026 comparison article prints the monthly, quarterly and yearly figures. An article is still not a checkout, though. Check the confirmation screen for the currency, the term and any BTW line before you approve the payment.

The monthly equivalent is simple arithmetic. The yearly plan of US$99.99 works out to about US$8.33 a month (US$99.99 divided by twelve). The quarterly plan of US$39.99 works out to about US$13.33 a month. Twelve monthly payments of US$15.99 add up to US$191.88, so the yearly term costs US$91.89 less than a full year of monthly billing. The catch is that you pay the full yearly amount upfront, and Nomi does not routinely refund unused time. Only commit to a long term once the free allowance has shown you the service suits you.

Credits (Nomi Credits) add a second cost layer. A selfie, an art request or an image edit costs 1 credit each. A standard-definition video request costs 6, a high-definition video request 10, an additional group chat 25, an anchor generation 50 and an extra Nomi slot 100. You only spend credits once the daily allowances in your plan are used up. They never expire, and you need an active subscription to buy them.

Your real monthly cost depends on how you use the service. If you stay within the included allowances, you pay only the subscription: US$15.99 a month, or the US$8.33 equivalent on the yearly plan. If you regularly want extra media, you will spend credits on top. Ten extra standard-definition video requests and twenty extra selfies in a month, for example, come to 80 credits (10 × 6 + 20 × 1). Your own purchase screen shows the euro price of a credit pack. The only pack prices we could check belong to a foreign storefront, so we do not convert them. Unused credits carry over, so check your balance before buying another pack.

What the Nomi companion app actually provides

Memory tools. Nomi describes persistent conversational memory and gives you three ways to shape it. Backstories set the fictional premise. Shared notes hold details you want the companion to keep in view. Mind Maps show how the companion has organised what it remembers. Nomi does not publish a numeric context window, and there is no independent recall test. The tools show how you can steer memory, not how reliably the companion keeps long-term details. The 400-character free limit and the 800-character paid limit only cap the length of a single message. They are not memory capacities, and longer messages do not mean better recall.

Companions and group chats. You can create custom characters, and the official pronoun FAQ lists female, male and nonbinary options. The advertised paid plan includes up to 10 companions and up to 10 group chats, in which several characters join one conversation. Past those limits, an extra group chat costs 25 credits and an extra companion slot 100 credits.

Voice. Voice messages and voice calls are part of the subscription. Without one, voice features become read-only. No one has independently assessed the voice quality.

Images and video. Companions can send selfies in chat, and the service supports art requests, image edits and video requests. The listed image styles are photorealistic, anime and fantasy. All media is still subject to Nomi's content rules, covered in the next section.

Platforms and language. The official wiki lists iOS, Android, web and an installable web app (PWA). We did not verify Android availability in individual countries. The official platform list has no downloadable APK, so a so-called mod APK is not an official way to get the app. The store lists English as the interface language. Nomi's Dutch conversation quality has not been assessed, so if you want to chat in Dutch, test it on the free allowance before paying.

Adult content: what text and images allow

Nomi treats text and images differently. Adult text conversation with fictional adult characters is allowed, but image content is limited. Nomi's own comparison article describes adult text alongside clothed photos, and the official wiki says current policy does not provide nude companion photos. Paying for a plan or buying credits does not unlock unrestricted image generation. Credits only buy more requests under the same rules.

The age rule covers both people and characters. Users must be 18 or older, and the wiki requires every character to be an adult. If explicit images are your main reason to subscribe, Nomi's policy won't give you that. The comparison section shows which listed services allow adult images under their own terms. If you mostly want conversation, the text policy covers adult fictional roleplay.

Is Nomi AI safe for private conversations?

The key privacy fact is that Nomi does not use end-to-end encryption, as its own wiki states. The provider can therefore technically access what you write. That counts for more than any choice of avatar or art style. Assume everything you type is stored on Nomi's systems. Keep the dialogue fictional and leave out real identifying details, other people's information and anything you would not want a company to hold.

Jurisdiction. The operator is Glimpse.ai, Inc., a United States company with a contact address in Baltimore, Maryland. The App Store lists the seller as AI GLIMPSE INC, so the privacy policy and the store use different names for the same operator. For GDPR requests such as access or erasure, the published contact is [email protected]. The privacy policy is dated 2026-04-27.

Training. The wiki describes anonymised, aggregate learning from usage. It gives no clear rule on whether, or how, you can exclude all chats from training. No per-conversation opt-out is documented, so you cannot count on one.

Deleting your account. The documented route is Profile, then Account Settings, then Delete account. You then confirm by email and type DELETE. According to the policy, personal information is removed within about 28 days, except for support communications and records kept for legal reasons. Deleting is not the same as cancelling: if you pay through an app store, end the subscription there too. Sign-up and age check

Nomi relies on self-declaration for its age check. You enter your date of birth during sign-up. The official comparison article describes this step, and the wiki says the service is for adults only. We found no confirmed identity-document check, facial age estimation or Dutch-specific verification process. Expect nothing beyond the date-of-birth field at sign-up.

A self-declared birth date is easy to get past, so the 18+ rule leans heavily on honest use and on the content rules requiring characters to be adults as well. You don't need a card to create a free account. Given the encryption issue above, don't give more personal data than the sign-up form asks for.

Billing, cancellation and auto-renewal

Statement name. Nomi's public pages don't say which name shows up on a card statement. The App Store seller name is AI GLIMPSE INC, but that is a store label and not a confirmed bank descriptor. If an unfamiliar USD charge appears after you subscribe on the web, match its date and amount against your Nomi receipt before you contact your bank.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term, so cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. On the web, the published route is Profile, then Subscription, then Manage Subscription, then Cancel Subscription, followed by the confirmation prompts. You keep paid access until the current billing period ends, then drop back to the free plan, where voice becomes read-only.

Purchase channel. Cancel through the channel you paid with. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, you manage it in that store's subscription settings, not in a web account menu. Uninstalling the app cancels nothing. Some community threads describe switching from an App Store subscription to web billing on the same account. Those are user reports, not a documented Nomi procedure. Make sure the old subscription has ended before you start a new one.

Refunds. The refund policy rules out routine refunds for unused time, partial periods or dissatisfaction, though it allows discretionary exceptions. In practice, a Dutch buyer is better off starting with a monthly term, or with the free plan, than hoping to get money back on a yearly payment.

Points to weigh before subscribing

• No end-to-end encryption. The provider can technically access conversation content.
• Every term renews automatically, and deleting the app does not stop it.
• How you cancel depends on where you paid: web, Apple or Google. Using the wrong route can leave a subscription running.
• No routine refunds for unused time or dissatisfaction, which matters most on the US$99.99 yearly plan.
• Prices are published only in US dollars. A euro amount, BTW treatment and iDEAL were not confirmed for the Netherlands.
• Credits are a second cost for media requests beyond the included allowance, and you need an active subscription to buy them.
• Ratings differ by platform. Trustpilot showed 2.3 from 42 reviews (checked 2026-10-28), while the US App Store showed 4.6 from about 3K ratings. Both samples are self-selected and say little about product quality.

Nomi compared with three adult companion services

The comparison below sticks to documented facts: free access, published price, privacy terms and age check. Of these four, Nomi has the most generous free access thanks to its renewing daily allowance, and the strictest image policy, since it excludes nude photos. Secrets AI also has a daily allowance, though a smaller one. Candy.ai offers a small one-time preview instead of a daily grant. OurDream charges free accounts one coin per chat message, which is a usage rate rather than a fixed free quota. Who Nomi suits and who should look elsewhere

Nomi is a reasonable choice for adults who:

• want to try a companion for free over several days, which the 50-message daily allowance makes possible;
• run several fictional characters or group conversations, with up to 10 of each on the paid plan;
• care more about documented memory tools such as backstories, shared notes and Mind Maps than about unrestricted images;
• can pay by card in US dollars and are fine seeing the euro total only at checkout.

Nomi is a poor fit for adults who:

• need chat content the provider cannot access, since there is no end-to-end encryption;
• need a guaranteed refund if they are unhappy;
• need confirmed iDEAL payment or a euro price including BTW before they sign up;
• require reliable Dutch-language conversation, which has not been assessed;
• mainly want explicit images, which the photo policy excludes.
