A recent change has also drawn attention. When we checked on 2026-10-28, the OurDream address on Trustpilot showed a profile-removal notice instead of a score. The notice does not name a specific breach, so it proves nothing about the service itself. It does mean there is currently no public review score to fall back on.

The baseline is OurDream's own price list, checked 2026-10-28. Standard Monthly costs US$19.99 and adds 1,000 Dreamcoins at purchase and at every renewal. Standard Annual costs US$119.88 in a single payment. The displayed US$9.99 monthly equivalent is just that annual charge divided by twelve, not an amount taken from your account each month. Ordinary paid text costs 0 coins. Genius and Lively Genius responses cost 1 coin each, an in-chat image 5 coins, a voice-call minute 50 coins and a five-second standard video 100 coins. OurDream publishes these amounts in US dollars only. The official pages do not confirm a euro checkout total including 21% BTW, so the dollar figures are kept as published with no tax added.

Dutch payers should know two practical things. Official help states that PayPal is not supported, and iDEAL or SEPA did not appear in the payment information we checked. OurDream also has no native app; it runs in the browser and can be installed as a web app (PWA).

Memory is the hardest point to compare, because providers describe tools rather than results. Nomi describes persistent conversational memory, Mind Maps, backstories and shared notes. SpicyChat publishes context sizes of 4,000, 8,000 and 32,000 tokens across its three paid tiers. Kupid AI's pricing comparison prints a window of the last 100 messages, and Candy.ai's Premium Plus lists 20 memory slots. Secrets AI describes automatic, per-companion memories. These are capacities, not proof of accurate recall over weeks of conversation. For OurDream, a Reddit post dated 2026-08-29 describes mixed conversation consistency; that is a single unverified user report, not a confirmed limit.

Dialogue limits come in very different shapes, so check the unit before comparing. On a paid OurDream plan, standard text costs no coins while Genius replies cost 1 coin each. Free OurDream accounts pay 1 coin per message, and no fixed daily or signup grant is published. Nomi's free plan has 50 messages per day with no end date. Secrets AI allows 20 sent messages per day, resetting 24 hours after the first message, plus a separate total of 100 messages for custom characters. Venice counts 10 text prompts per day on its free plan. Candy.ai's free allowance, by contrast, is 5 messages in total, and GirlfriendGPT's terms illustrate 10 to 20 messages in total across 2 to 3 characters. A one-off sample is not the same thing as a daily quota.

Visuals matter if images or video were your main reason for using OurDream. OurDream names an anime generator and charges 5 coins for an in-chat image, 10 coins for two standard generated images and 100 coins for a five-second standard video. Candy.ai and Secrets AI list realistic and anime styles, Promptchan lists photorealistic and anime, and Nomi lists photorealistic, anime and fantasy. Nomi's wiki policy rules out nude companion photos, so its image side is limited even though adult text is allowed. Kupid AI uses weekly media quotas instead of a wallet.

Customisation is also counted differently. OurDream charges 10 coins for character creation including two images and offers community characters. Nomi's Standard plan includes up to 10 companions and 10 group chats, and each additional companion slot costs 100 Nomi Credits. Kupid AI allows 4 custom characters on Pro and 8 on Ultra. Secrets AI includes the first custom character and charges 500 Moments for each further one. SpicyChat gives free users three personas.

Value means the subscription plus whatever you pay per use on top. On OurDream, 1,000 monthly coins would cover 20 voice-call minutes, or 200 in-chat images, or 10 five-second standard videos, if spent on one action only. The official pages do not confirm the euro or dollar price of extra coin packs, so a heavier month cannot be priced in advance. The same logic applies to tokens, credits, Gems and Moments elsewhere.

Privacy and age checks are covered in the safety section. On language: none of the services here publishes a tested standard for Dutch conversation. If you are leaving because of one problem, start here

You don't have to fix every issue at once. Someone frustrated by coin tracking may only need a plan with a clearer recurring allowance, while someone uneasy about retention needs different account terms. Name the one constraint that bothers you, then check whether the alternative actually solves it, rather than moving to whichever service shows the lowest monthly-looking figure.

Close OurDream properly before switching. To cancel, go from the profile to Cancel subscription and then a confirmation step; access continues until the end of the paid term. Remaining coins stay usable until that term ends, but resubscribing later does not restore unused coins. Cancelling does not trigger an automatic refund; refunds depend on the terms and a discretionary support review. Deleting the account goes further. The help pages describe it as permanent and say it cancels an active subscription automatically, takes 24 to 48 hours to process and forfeits remaining coins without refund. If you still hold a balance, spend it or accept losing it before you delete.

It does not say whether those amounts include 21% BTW. The free tier covers core chat, the character library and three user personas, and adult text is available without paying, although no daily message number is published. Paid tiers publish context sizes of 4,000, 8,000 and 32,000 tokens; older documentation still mentions 16K for the top tier.

Age assurance uses a video selfie with a possible ID fallback, and the vendor says it receives only the outcome. The published mandatory list names the UK, France, Italy, Australia and selected US states. The Netherlands is not on it, but that should not be read as an exemption. Card subscriptions renew, while crypto and PaybyBank payments are one-time. iDEAL and SEPA were not confirmed. The billing descriptor is NDAI.CC, and you delete the account through Profile, Advanced, Delete Account. Nomi states plainly that it does not use end-to-end encryption, so keep real personal details out of fictional dialogue. An annual plan is usually the cheapest route on paper, but it ties you in for a year, and most services here offer limited refunds. The comparisons below use only published amounts in their published currency. None includes 21% BTW unless a provider says so, and none has been converted to euros.

The annual plan costs US$119.88, US$120.00 less, and delivers 2,000 coins in the first month (including a one-time 1,000 bonus) plus 1,000 in each following month, 13,000 in the first year. The bonus does not repeat after renewal.
• Nomi: US$15.99 monthly comes to US$191.88 over a year and the three-month plan to US$159.96, while the yearly plan costs US$99.99, US$91.89 less than paying monthly.

SpicyChat subscribers who joined before 2026-09-08 keep their old price only until they change plan or let it lapse, and a downgrade also forfeits it. Read the renewal line on the final checkout screen, not the headline figure.

Top-up bonuses can stretch a budget. Secrets AI adds a 10% bonus on top-ups for Premium and 15% for Ultimate, Candy.ai's Premium Plus adds 10% on quarterly and yearly plans, and Promptchan subscribers pay 50% less for extra Gems. Whether that matters depends on expiry rules: purchased Moments, Nomi Credits and Kupid AI's bought packs do not expire, while Kupid's granted coins lapse after 6 months and OurDream coins are lost when an account is deleted.

Refund rules differ sharply. OurDream says cancelling does not mean an automatic refund. Nomi has no routine refunds for unused time. Candy.ai offers 14-day EU withdrawal on the initial purchase only, with a prorated deduction for use. Secrets AI describes 14-day EU withdrawal with full or proportional treatment. Promptchan allows refund requests within 30 days if there was no significant use. Crypto payments at Secrets AI and Promptchan are generally nonrefundable.

Age checks, privacy and closing an account

This comparison is for adults only and covers exclusively fictional adult characters. Use fictional adult characters only. OurDream's help expressly disallows uploading reference photos, and Promptchan does not allow outside image uploads; its animation tools work only on images generated inside the service.

Age checks range from a simple declaration to an independent check. OurDream, Nomi, Candy.ai, Secrets AI and GirlfriendGPT rely on a self-declared 18+ confirmation. OurDream's underage policy allows additional checks where needed, including third-party document or biometric services, but no Dutch-specific method was confirmed. SpicyChat uses a video selfie with possible ID fallback in listed regions, and Nastia uses on-device estimation, a card check or ID where a country requires it. Character.AI uses Persona age assurance but carries no adult content.

Read the privacy terms as closely as the feature list. OurDream's privacy policy, dated 2026-08-26, permits using collected information, including user content, to train AI and machine-learning models. That is a contractual permission, not proof that any given chat was used. Data can be stored in the United States, encryption at rest or in transit is not end-to-end encryption, and the policy states no universal numeric retention period. Candy.ai's policy also covers AI training. Nomi states it does not offer end-to-end encryption. Venice is the only listed service with an optional end-to-end encrypted mode, available on Pro.
