Luka, Inc. of San Francisco operates the Replika app. Replika documents two ways in: the web account at my.replika.com and the Dutch iOS listing. Chatting and avatar customization are still free, and Replika says it does not offer a free trial of its paid plans. The Dutch store shows seven subscription entries, from MONTHLY at €8.99 to a Platinum item at €78.99 with no printed term (checked 2026-10-28). Dutch buyers see these as gross amounts, so the general 21% BTW rate is not a reason to add tax on top.
If the format matters more to you than the price, three listed services differ in documented ways. Nomi.ai publishes 50 free messages per day with a 400-character input limit, and its official site lists Standard at US$15.99 a month. Character.AI promises unlimited free messages and lists a Dutch interface. Its Dutch store items include Character.AI+ at €9.99 and €99.99, and its owner announced a Chapter 11 sale process on 2026-10-12. Janitor AI lists Janitor+ at €14.99 a month or €99 a year in the Dutch App Store. We checked all three on 2026-10-28.
Dutch store labels and what each one shows
The Netherlands App Store listing prints several in-app purchase names, and some of them look alike. Find the exact label on your own purchase screen before you compare it with a web promotion or a German price. Three yearly entries appear, but that does not mean every account can choose all three. Platinum shows a price with no period, so don't read it as a monthly fee.

Getting in, paying and closing the account
First, make sure you have the real app. The official routes are the web account at my.replika.com and the App Store listing published by Luka, Inc. Replika's terms also mention Google Play. Before you install from any store, check that the developer is Luka, Inc. and not a companion product with a similar name.
Be careful with "Replika Pro APK" and "cheat" downloads. Pro, Ultra and Platinum are subscriptions attached to a Replika account. Replika does not document any modified package as a way into paid access, and a file name does not give you an entitlement. Pro covers relationship status, activities, image generation, voice messages and calls, and daily gems. Ultra adds improved conversations, self-reflection and saving messages to memory. Platinum lists video recognition, Training Mode 100 times per week, Read Mind 50 times per week and 10 realistic selfie videos, with no period stated for the videos.
Memory controls are separate from free chat. Go to Home, tap your Replika's name and open Memory to read or remove individual saved facts. The only way to delete your whole conversation history is to delete the account.
Which payment options you get in the Netherlands depends on the checkout your device shows. Replika's help pages explain how to cancel an existing PayPal subscription. That confirms PayPal subscriptions can be cancelled, not that new purchases can be paid with PayPal or iDEAL. To stop a renewal:
- Log in through the app or my.replika.com.
- Open the Settings gear and choose Subscription.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- Confirm through the platform where you originally paid.
For PayPal, go to Settings, Payments, Manage Automatic Payments, select Replika and cancel. Uninstalling the app does not end the agreement. Replika's refund policy says sales are final once digital access starts. Apple and Google handle refunds for purchases made through their stores, and support is available for billing errors.
To delete the account in the app, go to Settings, Account Settings, Delete Replika, give a reason and your password, then choose Delete My Account. On the web, the path is Settings, Account Settings, Delete My Account. Deleting the account does not cancel billing on its own, so cancel first. The privacy policy allows profile data, messages and preferences to be kept for up to 60 days after the contract ends. Some financial and device records are kept for at least 10 years, and analytics are removed or de-identified after one year. Send data requests to [email protected]. We updated this page on 2026-10-29. Store labels can change and may differ between accounts. What applies to you is the amount and term on your own confirmation screen.
Before committing to a yearly label
Once access starts, a yearly label at €50.99 or €74.99 cannot be refunded, unless you bought it through Apple or Google and that store agrees to a refund. Frequently asked questions
Can I use Replika on a PC or without the App Store?
Yes, in a browser. Replika has a web account at my.replika.com as well as its iOS app, and its terms also mention Google Play. Logging in through a browser on a computer uses the same account, but you still manage subscriptions through the platform where you first paid.
Will a Replika Pro APK or cheat unlock paid features?
Paid tiers are subscriptions tied to your account, not to an installation file. Replika does not document a modified package as a way to get Pro, Ultra or Platinum. In the Dutch store, the item named Annual ULTRA costs €74.99 (checked 2026-10-28). That is the kind of label to look for on your own purchase screen.
What has happened to Replika?
On 2025-04-10, Italy's data protection authority, the Garante, fined Luka €5 million over past failures on legal basis, transparency and age verification. The authority also announced a separate inquiry into training and notes that an appeal is possible. This is not a ban in the Netherlands. Replika updated its privacy policy on 2026-05-27, and the service is still listed in the Dutch App Store.
Is Nomi better than Replika?
That depends on what matters most to you. Nomi publishes a free allowance of 50 messages per day and says the free plan needs no card. It states that conversations are not end-to-end encrypted, and its voice features become read-only without a subscription. Replika keeps chat free with no published numeric cap and includes voice calls in Pro. We checked both on 2026-10-28.
Is there a better AI companion than Replika?
No single answer fits everyone. Character.AI lists a Dutch interface and unlimited free messages, but its owner is in a Chapter 11 sale process. Janitor AI has a Dutch store subscription at €14.99 a month. The Replika alternatives page compares these options on memory, privacy and age checks.
